Candidate for Alternativet in Copenhagen

I am a scientist, engineer, new dad, and politician fighting for a faster green transition through research, teaching, and policy.

I am running for Copenhagen City Council to help the city plot a course towards real sustainability, aka no-bullshit net zero. I'm running as a Danish-American to help build a bridge between the Danish and the international Copenhagens, to make it easier for newcomers to feel like a part of this beautiful society, and to make the city better at embracing its diversity. I'm running (or cycling?) as a cyclist who wants to keep the city safe and green: kinds, culture, and climate over cars! Finally, I'm running to protect the quirky and creative parts of our city, that make it unique, give Copenhagen its soul, fuel our cultural powerhouse, and keep Copenhagen weird.

Read about all of this and more under "Copenhagen Politics". I hope to earn your support!

Cycle-friendly infrastructure

  • Cars take way more than their fair share of the city
  • Copenhagen needs to live up to its reputation
  • Kids, culture, and cyclists over cars!

Welcoming, international Copenhagen

  • We need to be better at including everyone
  • 20% of Copenhageners aren't Danish. This is a strength!
